Susan E Patches

Heaven gained another angel on July 9th, 2024, as Susan Elizabeth Patches, beloved mother, wife, grandmother and great grandmother passed. She was the wife of the late Robert patches, Sr.. She was born on August 11, 1942, to Elizabeth (Csaji) Rittle and Richard Rittle of Lebanon, PA. She lived in Lebanon early in life and spent part of her childhood in Fort Lauderdale, FL before moving back to Lebanon when she was 15. She spent most of her career working for Hershey Foods, Inc. where she made lifelong friends. Although anyone that knew Sue knew that she made friends everywhere she went. She was always willing to help, give her last dime and listen to anyone that needed a friend. She was an active member of her church and was known as the ultimate homemaker/cook. She had a talent for making you laugh and telling a great story - endearing herself to you. Her family was her greatest joy. She was a true matriarch and was intimately involved in the lives of her children, 13 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. She is survived by children: Robert, Jr., Michael, Shirley Patches-Miller, Richard, Dale, Ellen, Robert D., Wayne, and Tracy as well as all of her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter Lisa Watts. Sue did not want a funeral but for everyone to celebrate life as Sue did and live life with compassion and love for everyone around you. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday July 17, 2024 at 1:00pm in the Covenant Greenwood Cemetery.
