Esther Arlene Massalsky Stewart

E. Arlene Stewart, 91, formerly of Russellton, PA and Saxonburg, PA, passed away on Wednesday, July 6, 2016 in Hill Farm Estates, Annville, PA. She was the wife of the late Howard L. Stewart. She was born in Natrona Heights, PA on December 26, 1924, a daughter of the late Lonnie and Essie Hilty Massalsky. She was a machinist, retiring from Saxonburg Ceramics after 40 years of service. Arlene was a member of the Bull Creek Presbyterian Church, Tarentum, PA while living in Western Pennsylvania. She loved listening to church music, attending musicals, playing the piano and enjoyed listening to her son’s band. Arlene was survived by sons, Dennis W. Stewart and wife Janet of Lucasville, OH; Leslie A. Stewart of Lebanon, PA; grandchildren, William Walker Stewart of Austin, TX; Jessie Stewart of Lucasville, OH; sister, Catherine Burch of Pittsburgh, PA; brother, Phillip Massalsky of Cheswick, PA; four nieces and a nephew. She was preceded in death by brothers, Lonnie Massalsky and James Massalsky. A memorial celebration for Arlene will be held on Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at 11 AM in Siwicki-Yanicko Funeral Home, 23 McKrell Road, Russellton, PA followed by the burial at Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell, PA. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in her memory to Alzheimer’s Association Greater PA Chapter, 3544 N. Progress Ave., Suite 205, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
