Sarah Gonzales Martinez

Sarah Gonzales Martinez, beloved mother to four children, age 59, passed away in Round Rock, Texas on May 17,2024, leaving a void her family cannot fill.

She was born in Tahoka, Texas in 1965 to Jose Martinez and Senaida Martinez. Sarah attended Tahoka High School and then worked as a Nurses Aid at the Nursing Home.

Sarah was a devoted mother to Erika Arredondo, Jeremy Salazar, Vanessa Salazar, and Jacob Salazar, her pride and joy. She always loved spending time with her kids whether it was cooking, going out to eat, or baking something delicious for someone. Sarah always took special joy in watching the cooking channel, making delicious meals for her family, baking for one of her kids because we always loved her food and desserts. She also enjoyed playing Bingo and going shopping.

Sarah was preceded in death by her mother and father and her sister Yvonne Ybarra and brother Danny Martinez and is survived by her sisters Pat Barrientez of Tahoka, Tx, Joann Martinez of Round Rock Tx, Anita Martinez of Pflugerville Tx and Linda Dominguez of Round Rock, TX, brother Joe Martinez of Pflugerville Tx also by her former spouse Mauricio Salazar. Sarah had 6 grandchildren whom she always loved spending time with and will never forget the laughs, smiles, conversations, and most of all the love she brought to their lives.

A visitation will be held from 4:00 - 8:00 PM on Thursday, May 23, 2024 at Weed Corley Fish Funeral Home in Leander.
