Duanna devoted her life to her family. She was a loving wife and a nurturing mother and grandmother. She was a Christian and her strong faith in Jesus Christ sustained her through the trials of life and especially through her ordeal of pancreatic cancer. Duanna's mission in life was her family. She was wholly devoted to nurturing, protecting, and guiding her children and then her grandchildren. She was at her very happiest when surrounded by those she loved. Her home was a welcoming place where family loved to gather. Duanna also had some very special friends with whom she loved to visit, laugh, travel, and shop. She was delighted when she would find a "bargain" and would bring her treasure home to show it off and find a special place for it. She loved to garden and to raise flowers. Her children were often the beneficiaries of a bumper crop of vegetables, or herbs. She leaves behind a family and friends who loved her and whose lives are forever enriched because of her influence.
Duanna was predeceased in death by her parents, Fred R. Venable and Treva J. (Graves) Venable of Copperas Cove, Texas. She is survived by her loving husband, Robert Glenn Skiles Jr.; her son Brett (Dawn) Skiles of Edmond, Oklahoma; her daughters, Sabrina (Danny) Reddington of Round Rock, Texas, and Deanne (Nathan) Mican of Round Rock, Texas; and her nine grandchildren, Ashley Skiles, Jackson Reddington, Skylar Reddington, Madelyn Skiles, Jagger Mican, Kennedy Streuer, Bradley Mican, Kayla Mican, and Canon Mican.
