Dave, a cherished father and friend, passed away peacefully on April 2, 2025, at the age of 77. He was born on October 18, 1947, in El Paso, Texas and lived a life focused on helping, educating and advocating for others. He was known for his kind and giving heart, sense of humor, passion for education and technology, and his love for his family and friends. He is a proud US Army Veteran, serving his country during the Vietnam War. He is survived by his children, Melissa Hergenreder and Megan Munroe, grandchildren, Pierce and Jaelyn Hergenreder, wife, Shirley Munroe, and brother, Ken Munroe. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Memorial Service: Saturday, April 12, 2025, at 1pm (central time) at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home at 1200 S Bagdad Rd, Leander, TX 78641. In Lieu of Flowers: Donations may be made in David's memory to the Central Texas Food Bank, the Fresno Rescue Mission, or the Democratic National Committee.
