Dale "Shorty" Thomas Staggs

Dale “Shorty” Thomas Staggs, age 80, of Ethridge, TN, passed away on Sunday, November 24, 2024 at his home in Ethridge. Dale was born on May 28, 1944 to the late Earl and Annie Staggs in Delaware County, Indiana. He worked for many years as a pipefitter all throughout the country and would later retire from Murray Ohio. In his spare time, he enjoyed gardening, working on cars and tractors, cooking, fishing, and spending time with his loving family and friends. He was known for his giving heart, and would often bless those around him with gifts, candy, vegetables, and anything else he had to give.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Franklin Earl Staggs, James Hershel Staggs, Carmen Ray Staggs, Millard Wayne Staggs, and Paul Elbridge Staggs, and sister, Dana Lee Staggs.

He is survived by his sister, Mary Ann Burns (James); several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews; close friend, Ronnie Bonner.

Visitation will be held at Pettus-Turnbo Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 27, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held following the visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m.

Interment will be held at Kidd Cemetery.
