A private graveside interment service will be held with family at a later time. Arrangements are by Palm Mortuary.
Will was born on October 26, 1944, in Meridian, Mississippi, to William Hughes Richardson, Sr., and Gertrude “Pat” Richardson. Will served in the U.S. Air Force as an officer for four years beginning in 1966. A lifelong educator, he began his career as a teacher in Clark County School District until he became a principal at R. Guild Grey Elementary School. In 1988, he was offered a position with The Meadows School, which he accepted, and he worked tirelessly, ultimately becoming the Headmaster of the School in 1992, a position he held until his retirement in 2005.
He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Pat Richardson, as well as his son William’s mother, Kathleen Houlihan (Richardson). He is survived by his son, William Richardson (Skyler), his brother Stephen Richardson (Carol), his sisters Janan McCreery (Thomas), Mary Ellen Britt (Kevin), and Denise Hawkins (Patrick), six nephews, five nieces, and many great nephews and great nieces.
The family of Will wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the caring staff at Lakeview Terrace of Boulder City Assisted Living Facility, as well as the staff from Traditions Health Hospice, for their compassionate care and assistance.
