Wanda M. Rawski (Busia), 91, of Henderson, Nevada, passed away peacefully at home with family present on Tuesday, April 19, 2016. Wanda was born on January 31, 1925, to Josephine and Stanley Zglinski in Toledo, Ohio, and was a 45-year resident of the Las Vegas valley. Wanda worked at the Landmark Hotel and Casino until she retired in 1988. Wanda was the Greatest and Most Wonderful Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Aunt and Friend that anyone could have known. She was always there to help anyone in need. When you saw her, she would give you a Big Smile and a Kiss on the cheek. Wanda loved to entertain the children and was known as the “child whisperer”. Wanda was a life-long founding member of the Holy Family Catholic Church, past member of the Polka Booster and Polish American Clubs, Eucharistic Minister, and performed services for the Carmelite Sisters Order. Wanda was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers; three sisters; her husband Boleslaw (Bill) Rawski; and her son Gerald Rawski.
She is survived by her faithful dog Skeeder; sons Paul and David (Donna); nephew Kevin; grandchildren Ryan (Trisha), Melissa (Rich), Christopher, Jenna, Nicole (Chris) and Danielle (Dillon); eight great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, please make your donations to St. Jude’s Ranch for Children Las Vegas. A Celebration of Life will be held following services from 2:00 - 4:00 on June 3, 2016 at the Boulder Creek Golf Club, 1501 Veterans' Memorial Drive, Boulder City, NV 89005, (702) 294-6534.
