Trudy Ward

Gertrude R. Scott-Ward, age 82, of Las Vegas, passed away on Thursday, June 18, 2015. Born October 12, 1932 in Hampton Township, Pennsylvania, she has been a Las Vegas resident for more than 15 years. She was a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh earning both a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts and made her career in advertising and public relations serving the steel and related industries in both Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and Cleveland, Ohio for over 40 years. She was preceded in death by her husband William B. Ward and brother John D. King, Sr.; and loving pups, Pussycat, Gasper and Ginger. Survivors include her sister, Betty (John Wickman) Jones, nieces Kimberly L. Kaplan, Susan E. Kramer, nephew John D. King, Jr. and first husband and close friend, Ronald L. Scott. A memorial service will be held at 11am Saturday, July 18th at Mountain View Presbyterian Church, 8601 Del Webb Blvd., Las Vegas. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Trudy's name to Foreclosed Upon Pets, 4780 W. Ann Rd., Suite 5-434, North Las Vegas, NV 89031. Arrangements entrusted to Palm, South Jones Mortuary.
