Stanley R. Rosen, 91, of Las Vegas, a retired mechanical engineer, passed away on Thursday, August 16, 2018.
Stanley was born in Brooklyn, NY on May 18, 1927 to Isaac and Sarah Rosen. He attended The High School of Aviation Trades of New York City and served in the Army Air Corps during WWII. Using his G.I. Bill, he graduated (1951) with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Buffalo, NY. He was an important participant in the dawn of the thermoforming industry and was a designer of plastics machinery, molds, and dies and created Thermoform Machinery Corp. and Mold Systems Corp. in West Nyack, NY. He authored the book Thermoforming, Improving Process Performance. He lived life as he wanted and his great enjoyment of his work as an engineer will be remembered and cherished about this truly honorable man by all who knew and loved him. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Isabelle Rosen (Greenberg); and brother, Arnold; and ).He is survived by his beloved wife, Barbara; son, Robert Rosen (Carrie); daughter, Susan Rosen (Pamela); two step-daughters, Edwina Maes (Larry) and Ann Steele (Rick); grandchildren and great-grandchildren . Graveside services will be held at 1:00PM on Sunday, August 19, 2018 at Davis Memorial Park, 6200 S. Eastern Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89119.
