Shayne Robert Baker, age 36, of Las Vegas, passed away on Thursday, July 3, 2014 in Las Vegas. Born May 6, 1978 in Denver, Colorado, he grew up in Iowa before moving to Las Vegas more than 15 years ago. A U.S. Air Force Veteran, he worked as a sales representative in credit card merchant services. He was the coach of his son's baseball team, the Vipers. Survivors include his fiancee (S.O.) Michelle Poe, son Cody Baker, parents Terri and Steven Baker; sister Carie (Cory) Fisher and brothers Shawn (Shelsea) Baker and J.R. Baker and "Papa" Martin Janke. A memorial service will be held at 5:30pm on Thursday, July 10, 2014 at Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Las Vegas, NV 89146, where family will receive friends from 3:30-5:30pm. A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, July 17, 2014 at 6:30pm in Clermont, Iowa, where family will receive friends from 4-6pm.
