Sam Mandell died peacefully on May 2, 2013 at the age of 83. He was born on April 1, 1930 in Brooklyn, New York to Moses and Ethel Mandelbaum (nee Talmud).
Sam was a long-time resident of Las Vegas, Nevada where he worked in the entertainment industry before retiring after a long and successful career.
Sam was a devoted husband to his wife of 53 years, Beth Mandell (nee Miller) who preceded him in death.
Sam was greatly loved and will be missed by his family; including sister Sydney Thomas (Robert Thomas) of San Diego; nephew Stephan Thomas (Esther Thomas); nieces Carol Thomas, Marjorie Rocheleau (Al Rocheleau), Kim Mandelbaum (Larry Allen), E. Lee Mandelbaum, Donna Joubert (Steve Joubert), and Marcie Davies (William Davies); grandnephews Blake Mandelbaum Allen and Evan Davies; and grandnieces Nora, Rachel, Deanne, Alicia and Anastasia.
Services will at Palm Mortuary’s King David Chapel located at 7600 South Eastern on Friday, May 10, 2013 with visitation at 10:00 a.m. and services at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at 1:20 p.m. at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City.
