Salvador Paz Alcantar

He was born on March 8, 1957 in Huecorio, Michoacán, México to Emilio Alcantar and Esperanza Paz. He was the oldest of seven brothers and sisters. He enjoyed school and dreamed of one day forming a band with his friends.

He met his wife Rosalinda and married in 1976 and moved to California shortly after. He began to work at a restaurant but then decided to start working construction as a laborer. He relocated to Las Vegas in 1991 and became a member of Laborers Local 872 union for over 15 years.

He retired in 2006 and enjoyed gardening, reading the daily newspaper, home improvement, and watching soccer and boxing.

Salvador is survived by his wife, Rosalinda; his sons, Salvador, Alejandro, and Steven; his daughter, Rosalind; and his seven grandchildren who all brought him great joy in his later years.

Family and friends are invited to attend a rosary for our father Salvador Alcantar on Tuesday, September 3rd at 4:00 PM at Palm Southwest Mortuary, 7979 W. Warm Springs Rd., Las Vegas, NV 89113. Visitation will begin that day at 3:00 PM.

Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, September 4th at Christ the King Catholic Church, 4925 S. Torrey Pines Dr., 89118. Interment to follow at Palm Eastern Cemetery, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89123.
