Rosemary was born on March 1, 1940 in Panama City, Florida to Harold Heard and Gertrude Turner. She married Lenard M. Parks in 1958. He proceeded her in death on March 1, 2023. They had been married for 64 years. She traveled and supported her military husband for 24 of those years.
During her lifetime Rosemary met many different people and formed friendships that would last throughout her life.
She is survived by her four children: James Parks of Nevada; Reginald (Reggie) Parks (wife Shelly) of Texas; Victor (Wayne) Parks (wife Adrienne) of Georgia and Kim Clark of Nevada; 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; two brothers and five sisters. She also leaves behind a many friends.
Rosemary was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother. She was also an avid reader especially of the Bible. She also enjoyed music from different genres. Her favorites were Gospel music and R & B music from the 50s and 60s. She enjoyed crossword puzzles and watching YouTube videos of some of her favorite musical artists and cooking shows. Her favorite NFL team was Las Vegas Raiders. Rosemary had many interests and will be deeply missed.
She went to her eternal rest in the warm embrace of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
A private memorial service will be held for Rosemary at Palm Mortuary. Following the memorial service there will be a committal service at Southern Nevada Veteran's Memorial Cemetery where Rosemary will be interred with her beloved husband Lenard M. Parks.
