With much sadness in our hearts, our family shares the lost of our beautiful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother Rose Bell Santos. On November 6, 2021, Saturday, while surrounded by her loving and caring family, our heavenly father sent his angels with her wings to bring her to her final resting place.
Rose was born in Honolulu, Hawaii May 20, 1933. She was the daughter of Antone Santos and Isabella Keawe. She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Santos, Jr., and her brother Solomon K. Santos. Rose was a loving mother of five children. She moved to Las Vegas, the ninth island, with her son Wayne in October 2008 to be closer to her two daughters and grandchildren already living in Las Vegas.
She was a Pre-School teacher for many years. Later, she and her husband opened up their home and became loving and caring babysitter’s. Roses’ smile would light up the room. She would give hugs that would take your breath away. She loved listening to Elvis Presley songs she would get up and dance. Her passion was baking, playing UNO, loved the slot machines, doing puzzles, word search, arts and craft and diamond painting which required great hand and eye coordination. She loved going to church where she was a member of the St. Barnabas the Apostle Catholic Church Congregation. The church members and ministers were so caring they became a second family to her. Their love and compassion meant so much to her and her family. Her life was her ohana and she will be truly missed by all. We will love her forever and she will always be in our hearts. A hui hou….until we meet again.
Rose is survived by her sister Lillian Josefovicz and son Lawrence Santos of Honolulu, Hawaii. Her daughter Gladys (Harry) Marchadie of Ocala, Florida. Her ohana (family) in Las Vegas, Nevada, son Wayne Santos, daughter Shirley (Alan) Costa and daughter Sally (Alan) Haynes. She was blessed with seven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren. She also had many special nieces, nephews and friends.
The service for Rose will be 10:00am to 11:00am followed by the Celebration of Life 11:00am to 1:00pm on Saturday, December 4, 2021, at Palm Northwest Mortuary 6701 N Jones Blvd., Las Vegas, NV 89131.
