Words can't even  begin to express how much I miss my grandma. Growing up with her, seeing her every single day, I can't even start to tell you all the ways she impacted my life. Grandma had a way of taking any trouble and fixing it. She always knew how. ALWAYS. I can't remember a single occasion which she didn't rise to help me when I needed it. I was a trouble maker growing up. At home, specifically with my dad (her youngest son). She told me countless times, "oh, Jessica. If I could just find the words..."
I was so stubborn but she loved me no matter what. I clung to her & she liked it. She embraced my attachment to her. I could never ever forget it.
It's so fresh in my mind, the way her kitchen smelled of fresh coffee & her linen closets of moth balls. The red room closet of dusty antiques from 40 years before I was even born. I'll never forget how the morning light hit the kitchen or how she made a Popsicle the most enticing treat in the world. Everything about the life she showed me has impacted me. I draw to certain music and places that bring me the emotion of being at her house at the top of Phillips Avenue.
She was bigger and greater than most of the world would ever know. But every single person who had the pleasure of meeting her knew she was special.
There's such a void in my life not having her to talk to anymore.
She always called me her little Jessica & her shadow. I can still hear her voice the way she would say she loved me in that certain way. When she'd remind me of when I used to follow her around everywhere she went.

I miss her so much & I am so blessed to have had such a close life  with her. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect childhood. And I thank my amazing grandma for that.

Rose, Thank you for being such a considerate and lovely "surrogate" mom for my son Steven during his teenage angst.  It's ironic, we both have the same first name, and were born near Albany, New York.  Rest in Peace.

It's undisputable; Rose Sidoti- Arnold embodied the quintessential Italian mother/grandmother.  Mamissimo: a loving, nurturing matriarch. 
 In contrast to the irate, manipulative, unrefined, and uncontrollably abusive, “Tony Soprano” mother's house of pain…Rose Sidoti-Arnold's household is and remains, a friendly, welcoming, holy ground, blessed by culture and goodness.  A safe haven. 
She enabled her energetic, artistic, son Edward and his teenage friends to cultivate the rhythm in their hearts by providing a practice facility and shelter for the inevitable sleep-over.  Under the son's guidance, this band persevered into an accomplished sound over time with Edward becoming one of the best bassists to ever grace the stages of Las Vegas and Europe with headline entertainers.  Lifelong friendships amongst the teens emerged as a result of Rose's acceptance and encouragement.  Indeed, she had many respectable friends, enjoying the comfort of coffee, and conversation with her lovely daughter Josephine at her nourishing kitchen table. 
In late August 2011, I was fortunate to see Rose at the Mandalay Bay Resort in Las Vegas.  She took a car ride to pick up her grandchildren, Erika and Charlie, whom I was privileged to introduce to the Broadway theatrical production, The Lion King.  It was very special night, enjoying time with Erika and Charlie, and then receiving an embrace and acknowledgement from their grandmother.  Much gratitude toward Edward, and his lovely wife Rebecca for providing me that moment.  Rose Sidoti- Arnold made an indelible impression on many souls, as well as my own.

Many many years before I ever knew of, or understood the meaning of the unmerited grace, and the unconditional love that is found in Jesus, I witnessed it every day in her tender, caring, steadfast, unfailing love. Hers was truly a heart that gave, cared for, and nurtured until God called her home. Mom, I will NOT say 'goodbye' --  because, one day, as sure as your dear and loving heart touched so many, we will all be reunited, where there is no more crying, no more hurting, and no more sorrows. "I love you Mom".

Gramma Rose, for 9 decades you gave the world enormous love and integrity, for which the family will always carry proudly.  How good would the world be by just following your uncomplicated standard of being a genuine true and caring soul?  Thank you for giving us so much to follow! Lorna Arnold

Although we never met, she must have been a very special lady.  Mark always spoke highly of her, and he has grown to be a very special person, one that would have made her very proud.  And how she would have loved her great grand daughter Dailey Elizabeth Arnold.
May she rest in peace.

In loving memory of a wonderful "adopted" Mom & Grandmother, as we thought of her as such from the first time we met her. She welcomed us into her home and family with open arms & always treated us as one of her own.  Rose always had such a sweet smile and a kind word for everyone, and was such a joy in everyone's lives. There won't be a day that will go by that I won't think of her & remember her lovingly in my heart, matched only by the love she gave each and every one of us.
