Ron was born and raised on a farm in a small town located in Owatonna, Minnesota. He was 1 of 11 siblings.
He and some of his siblings and friends were very mischievous during his adolescent years.
Ron enlisted in the Army with his lifelong friend Paul and then started his career as an Automotive Technician.
He relocated to San Diego, California in the early 60’s where he and his wife built a home. In his spare time, he loved the desert and would enjoy riding his dune buggy and 3 wheelers along with camping by a fire.
After his retirement he needed to stay active and spent a majority of his day helping everyone with any busy work he could find.
Ron loved the one-armed bandit. He and his wife moved to Las Vegas in 2017, bought a house (near a casino) and spent many days doing what he enjoyed. He bought a golf cart and called it his “buggy” and you could find him most days trolling the streets.
His smile, laugh, jokes and willingness to help anyone are what everyone remembers most about him.
He is survived by his wife: Jackie, Daughter: Deborah, Son-in-law: Todd , Son: Scott, 2 granddaughters: Alyssa and Isabella, 1 grandson: Trevor, 1 brother: Lester, 1 sister: Barbara, 2 sons Rick and Kevin by a previous marriage.
