It's now been three years and this past week I really missed the frivilous phone calls Bob & I would have in early January joking with each other about his "two days" on me.  I've decided this year to go to the TIE Club at the end of the month to acknowledge our "time".

I woke up missing Signe so much this morning and realized it had been a few years since I reached out to Bob. I can’t believe he passed as well. The end of an era… No one was like Bob. Truly one of a kind. I will cherish all my memories of both you and Signe forever.

Yes, it's been a year and I still miss Bob everyday.  Our breakfasts with Signee and others, our lunches with just the two of us.  And of course this would be the week that Bob and I celebrate our joint accomplishments & success -- I had a tough time with that last year, but think I'll do better now.  Probably more than once every week this past year I felt like picking up the phone and calling Bob with either a question about something I was involved in or a complaint with someone or some group/company, knowing he'd agree with me.

I think about Bob Kaplan everyday. He was a great man and solid. I will miss Bob and Clancy going at it and then acting like nothing happened.

Bob was a one of a kind guy! Helped a lot of people and didn’t tell anyone. He loved life and a strong personality . I remember him in LA at the noon meetings . Always liked his shares so real. He will be missed soar with the Angels Bob

I met Bob when shopping for a roof for my house.  After hiring his company to do the job, I learned he was a friend of Bill W (so am I).  I was impressed that Bob did not break his anonymity, and neither did I, when we negotiated.
Bob came through for me on two other occasions when I asked.  Wish I had asked oftener.  Rest in peace, my friend

Bob Kaplan. One of a kind. Bob was my AA sponsor since 8-31-85. Not only sponsor-sponsee. We were friends . Two totally different souls that loved each other unconditionally.
I will never forget what Bob did for me in my lifetime ....he was one of the giants .
I will miss knowing that he will not always be there if needed anymore.

Bob was the best.  Always returned phone calls and did what he said he would do. He helped innumerable people including me. 

My Memories of Bob Kaplan are pretty special he was a great story teller and very educational I learned a lot bob helped me a lot in times that I needed we also talked about Signe who live was was taken away  I called bob every day to check on him and said I would drive him around if needed so we would go to lunch together or a group of us would go to Bob's favorite pizza place on Friday night and go to breakfast at el-cortez Sunday mornings I miss bob a lot rest in peace my brother he was fun to be around How ever I will continue to go to meetings and stay sober bob was my as sponsor and that what he would want


  I'd known Bob for well over thirty years.  We first met when we were both living in the Los Angeles area and would spend a lot of time together mostly doing volunteer work.  For several years, I was a part of a special Wednesday lunch that Bob was a regular at.  He and Signe moved to Vegas about a year before my wife and I did.  I was very delighted that they were living nearby and we would spend some time together.  Later my wife and Signe became close friends.
  What I've found to be amazing is that Bob and I never had a personal dispute with each other in all the years -- I've had my share with other people and he had more than his share, but we always got along with each other.  I may not have agreed with every part of his life, but always respected his level of commitment and knew he was someone I could always count on "no matter what".
  We'd usually get together about three times a week, often with other people for breakfast or dinner and I always looked forward to those times and will miss them now.  Bob and I had a special "anniversary" that we'd share/celebrate together every year since the 1980's -- it will be very sad to do so later this week without him.
  There will be something missing from my life now, and I'll have to learn to deal with it.

One of a kind and in the 25 ish years Bob has won the record for always picking up the phone or getting back to you within minutes club! From playing domino’s at Central Office to The drifters to eating some of the finest dumps in town you help saved my life! 

I have been a long-time friend of Bob's and will truly miss him! He helped so many people over the years and will be remembered for his service! I had the opportunity to speak with him a few days before his passing and did not dream he would leave this world so soon! Prayers for his family and may Bob RIP! 💔

Bob was always kind and caring. A pleasure ti serve at Peggy Sues where i was a waitress for MANY yrs......
