Rita Marie Scallen, 64, of Sun City, Summerlin, passed away March 11, 2011. She was bron December 9, 1946, and was a four-year resident of Las Vegas. Rita was a retired shoe store owner. She bravely battled kidney failure for 14 months. Rita is survived by her husband, Robert Scallen; three sisters; two brothers; and a host of nieces and nephews. Family and friends joined in a farewell service at 1 p.m. Wendesday, March 16, 2011 at Palm Mortuary- Northwest, 6701 North Jones Boulevard. Graveside to follow. Rita was a fun-loving, upbeat person who helped others and will be missed.
