Richard Lee Conrad was promoted into the Kingdom of God on April 14, 2013. He was born in West Virginia on June 20, 1951 to Leonard Lewin Conrad, Sr. and Helen Kathleen Hagley Conrad. Richard moved to Las Vegas where he met his wife, Rosemarie, and he has lived with her here for the past 30 years.
He was a very loving, kind and generous husband, father, and grandfather. He loved to sing gospel songs, preach and minister to people, and bless them. So many people have called him for prayer and encouragement, and they were always blessed and changed for the better. He was very generous with family, friends and strangers alike and he could tell a joke with the best of them and laugh the longest. Two of his favorite sayings were: "I'll be good to you if you let me" and "Don't mistake kindness for weakness."
Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Helen, and his sister, Jean Ann Poffenberger.
Richard is survived by his wife, Rosemarie; sons, Steven Conrad, Raymond Lujan and Ruben Lujan; ten grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and two brothers in West Virginia, Leonard (Linda) Conrad and Joe (Elaine) Conrad and their families.
A Visitation will be held on Friday, April 26, 2013 from 3:00 – 7:00 pm. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2013 at 11:00 am, both at Palm Mortuary located at 7600 S. Eastern Avenue. Entombment will follow at Palm Valley View Cemetery.
He never met a stranger and I was so very proud of him, and he will be missed more than anyone will ever know.
Love you, Rose
