Rhonda was born to Priscilla Sidney Hayes and Ronald Howard Thomas on September 1, 1965 in Provo, Utah. She was born on her father’s birthday and he always called her “daddy’s birthday gift”.
Rhonda grew up in Payson, Utah and graduated from Payson High School in 1983 where she was a cheerleader and active in drama. She became a licensed respiratory therapist and was like family to many of the patients she helped.
Her two children, Kayden and Maggie, were always the number one love and priority in her life. Being a single mom, she worked hard to make sure that they didn’t lack for anything. She loved being a mom.
When we think of Rhonda, we think of her sparkling ocean blue eyes, her energizer bunny liveliness, and how she was always loving on the little ones. We are also reminded of her grit and strong willpower, her constant willingness to help out, and what a great cook she was. Rhonda’s home was always filled with kids and loved ones that needed a place to stay for a while.
We will miss her cheerful presence, her loving heart, and sharing a Diet Coke together on the beach each summer. She is survived by her son, Kayden John Thomas, her daughter, Maggie Elizabeth Thomas, and her sisters Tammy Rich, Sandra Nosack, Peggy Wright, Trina Ann Argyle, and lots of little ones.
Rhonda was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, John Thomas.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, November 25th, 2021 at 11:00 am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Chapel located at 7401 Smoke Ranch Road in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.palmdowntownmortuary.com for the Thomas family.
