Porfiria "Elvira" Medina

Porfiria "Elvira"Medina Chagoya, age 82, passed away on Sunday, August 7,2022. She was born on September 22, 1939 in Autlan de la Grana, Jalisco, Mexico. She migrated to the United States with her husband Pascasio, where she raised her son and seven daughters. Elvira's talents were many. While balancing life at home, she worked hard as a seamstress. She made a living by making beautiful handmade dresses and selling them. Her passion as a seamstress would lead her to opening her own dress shop later on in life. Elvira enjoyed spending time with her children, and teaching them the values of being a united family. She relocated to Las Vegas in the 90's where she continued her love for dressmaking. She is survived by her son Freddy, daughters Beatriz, Angelica, Maria, Rosa, Marisol, Luz, 13 Grandkids, 19 great grandkids and numerous family and friends that loved her dearly. A funeral service will occur Friday, August 26, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 7600 S Eastern Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89123. A committal service will occur Friday, August 26, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM, 7600 S Eastern Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89123.
