Paul Olson, CAPT USAF

Paul Olson was born on August 16, 1955 in Kassel, Germany to Sergeant Donald P. and Gisela Olson. In 1974, he joined the Air Force as a Radar Specialist. In 1984, he graduated from The Ohio State University as an Electrical Engineer, at which time he became a Commissioned Officer. After 20 years of active duty, he retired in 1994 and became a civilian employee. He spent another 25 years with The Department of Defense. He was a brave and loyal patriot, as well as a patient and loving father and grandfather.

He married Mary Ann Meagher in Dayton, Ohio in 1987.

He enjoyed volunteering at the Veterans Home in Boulder City and The Veterans Transition Resource Center.

He is survived by his sons Donald and David; stepdaughter Stacy Maul; his four grandchildren Jordan, Dallas, Dakota and Eleanor; sister Ruth Schindler; and brother Daniel Olson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Gisela, and his sister Petra.

A viewing will take place at Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Avenue, Las Vegas on Wednesday, May 20, 2020 from 12:30 - 2:00pm followed by a Celebration of Life from 2:00 - 3:00pm; a private burial will be held on May 21 at the Boulder City Veterans Cemetery.

The service will be officiated by Mordecai Jasper of Green Valley Baptist Church.
