Patricia Evershed Peterson passed away January 20, 2022 at her home in Henderson, NV surrounded by her family. She was born June 24, 1957 in Salt Lake City, UT to Allen and Dorothy (Parkinson) Evershed.
She is survived by her loving husband, Clayton Avery Peterson, her children Daniel (Annarose), Thomas (Jennifer), Jonathan (Kelsi), Susan (Stuart) Petty, and Samuel (Genevieve). She is also survived by her twelve grandchildren whom she loved deeply and brought her the greatest joy in life.
Patti was loved by many for her cheerful personality and her ability to make every person she met feel welcome and special. She loved people and loved making friends with everyone around her—her children often joked that they could not go anywhere with Patti without her running into at least three people she knew. Patti was passionate about serving others and truly believed that helping others was the best way to live a happy life and be closer to God. Even when cancer made it difficult for her physically, she still followed through with her goal to do a small act of service every day. Patti also found joy in serving on the Executive Board for the Festival of Trees to benefit Primary Children’s Hospital in Salt Lake City, UT.
Patti gave her all to everything she did. She excelled in her career and loved working with her clients, many of whom became her great friends. She was a devout member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and especially loved working with the children in her congregation. She lived life with true faith, love, and exuberance.
Patti’s legacy is the impact she had on the lives of everyone she met. Her loss leaves an immeasurable hole in the world, but we can all make that hole a little bit smaller by serving those around us.
