She was cared for and watched over by her children every minute of her last 10 days on earth, and has now returned home to her Father in Heaven.
Patricia was born in Pocatello, ID on November 20, 1950 to Robert and Anneliese Fullmer. She was one of six children, older brother Roy, twin brother Patrick , younger sister Anneliese and younger brothers Horace Edward (H.E.) and Kirk. She grew up on a potato farm where she would herd sheep and run through a bull pasture to milk the cows every morning. When she was 12, her family moved to Las Vegas, NV and started a number of businesses including a wedding chapel that she would carry on until her last days. And although she was a remarkable businesswoman, it was her devotion to her family and her faith that drove and sustained her. She had a deep and abiding love for music and her creative talents were unmatched.
She loved her church family and serving the Lord and those who knew her will remember her strength, unwavering loyalty and the energy and enthusiasm she brought to everything she did. A cowgirl at heart, she found strength and peace in the mountains of Utah, Idaho and Wyoming. She loved horseback riding and old country music, flowers and hummingbirds and spent countless weekends in her youth slalom skiing on the lakes of Idaho and Nevada. She had a special place in her heart for children-- her own children, her grandchildren and her primary children. She was the bedrock of her family, always there when we needed her, and never complained or tired when the burden was heavy or the road was long. She had a twinkle in her eye and gave the very best hugs.
She is preceded in death by her Mother and Father, Robert Fullmer and Anneliese vonGlahn, husband Samuel J. Barnes, and sister, Anneliese Freeman. She leaves behind so many loved ones, friends and family, including five children, Tonya (Emily) Whitson-Whennen, Liesa (Nathan) Woolstenhulme, Jon Ross Barnes, Samuel Barnes and Marietta (Brandon) Luff. Her eight grand-children were her greatest joy, Jacob(20), Brandon (18), Tyler (14), Austin (11) and Kensington (8) Woolstenhulme, Miles (7) and Audra (4) Whitson-Whennen and Justin (4) Luff.
