Nicholas John Fiore

Nicholas was born in Rochester, New York, to Mary (Lombardo) and Anthony Fiore on December 22, 1941. Nicholas moved to Las Vegas with his family in 1953, and graduated from Las Vegas High School in 1959. He considered Las Vegas to be his hometown. Nicholas married Kathryn (Frederick) on March 10, 1986. Together, they raised three children.

Nicholas had an impressive career in the gaming industry, spanning over three decades. Nicholas held multiple managerial positions over the years, most of which were at the El Cortez, where he made lifelong friends and acquaintances. Additionally, Nicholas taught blackjack and other table games at College of Southern Nevada, where he proudly assisted others to launch their own careers in the industry. Nicholas was a proud member of Alcoholics Anonymous, and enjoyed serving others in the program. Nicholas passed away with 42 years of sobriety.

Nicholas was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Kathryn; parents, Mary and Anthony; and siblings, Helene and Joseph.

Nicholas is survived by his sons Anthony (Sarah) and Joseph (Amber); stepdaughter Christina (Glen); and grandchildren Matthew, Kendall, Lucas, Sunny, Benjamin, Nora, and Theodore.

A graveside service for Nicholas will be held on Monday, September 19, 2022, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Palm Eastern Cemetery, 7600 S. Eastern Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89123.
