Nat was born in the Lower East Side of Manhattan, New York, NY, to Jacob and Clara Leitner (Safir) and was a southern Nevada resident since 2009. Nat served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Abraham, Leitner; and Sylvia “Tzippy”, his beloved wife of 39 years. He is survived by his two sons, Marc Leitner, MD (Terri) and Jack Leitner, MD; seven grandchildren, Yoni Leitner, Orli Leitner-Estrada (Juan), Tali Leitner, Shiri Zaida (Roie), Melanie Leitner-Stubbe (Eric), Karen Leitner-Rumph (Noah), Heidi Elliot (Bret); and nine great-grandchildren, Maya, Aiden, Ella, Miles, Lira, Lilah, Emmy, Julia, and Tyler. Funeral services will be held at noon on Monday, January 28, 2019 at Schwartz Brothers Jeffer Memorial Chapel, Forest Hills, NY. Burial will follow at the Old Montefiore Cemetery, Jamaica, NY. Family requests that memorial donations be made to Chabad of Summerlin and Jewish National Fund (JNF). King David Memorial Chapel handled the arrangements.
