Michael A. Karp, 55, an information technologies manager, of North Las Vegas, passed away Sunday, Sept. 30, 2012. He was born May 3, 1957, in London, Ontario, Canada, and was a 42-year resident of Nevada. Mike was a part of Gaudin Ford's history, 38 years dating back to the Charleston Blvd. and Main St. location. His work friends fill Gaudin from sales to parts, from body shop to service. His time away from work was spent with family and friends. He loved the desert for camping, dirt bikes, dune buggies and, most of all, sitting around the campfire. At home, he spent his time with his guitar by his side and a song in his heart. Mike is survived by his parents, John A. and Doris E. Karp; brother and sisters, Daniel Karp, Patricia Youngblood (Ken) and Wendy Cardin (Steve); nieces and nephews, Alyssa Linen Kugel (Matt), Michael Youngblood (Tyffany), Christine Zook (Mike), Nicole Cardin and Christopher Cardin. Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, at Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Arrangements under the direction of Palm Downtown Mortuary, Las Vegas, NV.
