It's been a long time since we last talked with Mike in Vegas. We saw him often in the commissary or BX on base well after he retired (the first time) and while he was working for the test site contractor. I worked with him in Korea and at Nellis. Great friend.  We just thought about him again today, thinking of our fallen Nuclear Weapons Technician buddies. 

We miss Mike... and so many of our other fallen friends.  We're all getting old, and so many of us who worked together in many parts of the world have passed. 

I decided to share pics as I appreciated the ones the family shared. RIP MDC.

Was my boss and very good friend I have been dealing with health issues but learning about my good friend Mike’s passing has crushed me and my wife.  My wife was also Korean it was something I had in common and I too worked in Nuclear Weapon program with Mike.

He was the most thoughtful boss and friend in some ways he was like another father. 

I remember he was a true and at the age beginning computers we worked together and enjoyed each other’s company. 

Finally, Cho was such a rock for him and a beautiful person she helped me understand my Korean wife in ways I can’t explain here.

Mike, you are the best with your kindness and positive energy.   You were one of my first friends at BSC.  Thank you for making me feel so welcomed during my first days on the project.  When I had some sad moments in my life when I worked on the project, you were there for me.  My favorite time was lunch time and seeing what Cho packed for you. I loved how she took good care of you (it was inspiring) and how appreciative you were of it.  I miss you but I know that you are making up lost time with Cho.

I have many great memories of Mike sitting in my cubicle early in the morning with his coffee laced with hot chocolate, visiting about children, and grandchildren. He was a great mentor and friend. He always made everyone laugh around him, and had such a contagious smile! We will miss you dearly Crisp! With love

Dear Mike,
It's said that one's spirit remains on earth for a while to view how things are going after their passing.  I hope that includes your being able to see these computer messages and know those remaining will remember you as long as they can and that you meant something while you were here.  There are plenty of people who knew and loved you.  It was a pleasure, always, to interact with you and see what a good man you were even when Cho was so ill.  I remember best your extra-large lunch plate and smile; I've seen no one then or since who did that quite so well.  Keeping in touch was not easy after the shutdown of the project; Joe and I have missed you, and will always miss you.  Only hope is that someday someone with all your good qualities will replace you so the world will be a better place.

I was sad to hear of Mike's passing, but take solace in knowing that he can be reunited with his beloved Cho.

Fly high with the angels Mike!  You will be missed.

Mike, You were a good, gentle, compassionate soul. You will be missed on this earth.

Mike had the best attitude. No matter what he was facing, he looked on the bright side. He was a pleasure to work with and loved to try to make people smile.

I only knew Mike for less than a year but even in that time could see how kind and soft hearted he was. I enjoyed our talks about his family, the best places to eat, and the latest movies that would come out every week! I'm really shocked and saddened to hear the news of his passing but I am thankful for the little time that I was able to get to know him and call him my friend. He will surely be missed!

Mike:  

You were one of my very best friends.  I loved hanging out with you at the Palm, visiting with you, talking about food, your lovely wife, and how excited you were to see and be with LeeAnn again (even though you would miss my tamales).  I miss your text updates on the grandkids and telling me you were "just sitting at Denny's, enjoying a cup of coffee."  

You were giving and caring well past what a lot of people deserved.  It was a joy knowing you and calling you my "friend."  I will miss you more than words can express.  I know you are with Cho now, with no more pain, sadness, or health problems.  I love you Mike and a part of my world and my heart are empty without you.  Rest in peace, my friend, and until I see you again.

It was a pleasure knowing Mike and working with him over the years on two projects.  Mike was a caring man with a big heart and was adored by everyone around him.  Mike always put smiles on those around him.  You will be missed by your family and friends.

Mike Crisp was a very generous and caring man. He loved his wife and his family. He had a very filled life, served in the US AIR FORCE one of my favorite alumni. Mike was a great friend and a great adopted Grandpa. I will miss him and I wish him well on his eternal journey. We will all miss you Mike!

Mike was one of the kindest men that I ever knew, regardless of the challenges he might be facing on any given day, he was always willing to reach out and help someone. I was the recipient of his kindness on several occasions, both on the Yucca Mountain Project, as well as at the Hanford WTP. I will miss Mike, and I wish him peace. My sincerest condolences to his Family, and all the people who loved him.

Mike was a kind, generous, and an extremely funny man.  I have enjoyed knowing Mike, working with him through our years on the Yucca Mountain Project and spending our family time with him.  My family and I have especially enjoyed the last two months with him and The Bergren family.  They have been very memorable with lots of fun and laughter.  He had a smile that was contagious and brightened up every room.  Here is to you Mike, go get Cho and dance with those colorful Grateful Dead dancing bears!  You will never be forgotten and always with us.

Mike was quite selfless.  He would do anything he needed to do and for whoever needed it.  He was full of love.  My life is better for having met him.  I missed him before and more now than ever. Kiss and ((hug)) Mike!  Thank you for everything.

It is with great sadness that I express the loss of Mike.  His family was his joy, going to movies, listening to books and trying to find a new restaurant.  Mike will be missed.
