Matthew Lando Bell

Matthew Lando Bell, 51, of Henderson, Nevada, passed away peacefully on October 11, 2022, at home after fighting Mantle Cell Lymphoma Cancer Stage 4 in a short time period. He was born on March 26, 1971, in Peoria, Illinois to Ronald and Cathie Bell. Matthew married Rhea S (Tosino) Bell on July 9, 2005 in Henderson, Nevada in 114 degree weather. Matthew and Rhea met in Chicago in 1999 through a mutual friend and became best friends. They moved to Henderson, Nevada in 2001.

Matthew owned his own office supplies company in Elk Grove, Illinois. He then worked in Sales in United Stationers until 2001. When Matthew moved to Nevada, he owned Diversified Concepts that sold and installed blinds and window treatments. He then owned another company, MRBELL Sourcing, which did online sales. The two things that Matthew was very passionate about was Scouting and Robotics with his son, Seth. He enjoyed teaching the kids about scouting like camping, rock climbing, kayaking, archery, rifle shooting, earning merit badges, advancing scout ranks, Scout Oath, and 12 points of Scout Law. He wanted the kids to “Do Your Best” and “Be Prepared”. For Robotics, Matthew wanted the kids to learn how to build robots, but more than just robots. He wanted them to learn how to work as a team, show friendly competition, good sportsmanship, and just how things work when they put a robot together. For both Scouting and Robotics, he wanted the kids just to have fun.

Matthew is survived by his wife, Rhea, and his son, Seth; his father, Ronald Bell; his brother, Mark Bell, his wife Bellamy Bell, and their children, Keirsten Bell, Addison Bell, Hailey Bell; and his sister, Joanna (Bell) Geyer, her husband, Ben and their children, Lucas Geyer, Brinlee Geyer, Megan (Geyer) Class and her husband Joshua Class, Cambria Geyer, Joshua Geyer, Keira Geyer, and Chloe Geyer. He is preceded in his death by his mother, Cathie Bell. Matthew also has numerous loving cousins, nieces, nephews, and other friends in his lifetime all over the world.

Matthew will be missed tremendously.

A visitation for Matthew will be held Tuesday, October 25, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Palm Eastern Mortuary, 7600 S Eastern Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89123. A reception will occur Tuesday, October 25, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, 7600 S Eastern Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89123. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, October 26, 2022 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM, 7600 S Eastern Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89123. A committal service will occur Wednesday, October 26, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at Palm Eastern Cemetery, 7600 S Eastern Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89123.
