Mathilda Roberts

Mathilda Roberts , age 79 , of Las Vegas , Nevada . Beloved wife ,mother and grandmother peacefully passed away surrounded by her family on September 23, 2024. Mathilda was born in King Island, Alaska daughter of the late Cecilia (Penatac) and Paul Nattanguk. She married Ronald J. Roberts on November 18, 1966. Mathilda enjoyed going back home to Alaska and spending time with her family. She shared the love of knitting with her sister and the time spent with family berry picking. She enjoyed reading, watching movies, and tried to never miss the Sunday newspaper crossword puzzle. She could not wait for date night on the weekends with her husband. She adored visiting her family in Delaware and the countless fun times they had playing card games, going to the beach and spending time together. A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother she cherished all her time with family, especially her grandchildren. She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts. Mathilda is survived by her husband of 57 years Ronald J. Roberts; son Paul B. Roberts; daughter Lori C. (Raymond) Donnelly; grandchildren, Raymond Donnelly Jr., Caitlin Donnelly, Christopher Donnelly, Marissa Roberts and Owen Roberts; sisters Frances Muktoyuk, Catherine (Larry) Okamailak and Anita Scadden; brother Maurice Nattanguk; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends all of whom she loved. She was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers, David Nattanguk and Raphael Nattanguk. Services will be at 10:00 AM on October 24, 2024 at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery 1900 Veterans Memorial Drive Boulder City, Nevada 89005. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Mathilda’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
