Mary Elizabeth Neumann passed away peacefully at the age of 86 on March 17, 2019. She was born May 1, 1932 in Ray, Arizona to Lee and Polly Palmer. She attended Arizona State College where she earned a teaching certificate and met the love of her life, Jerome Neumann. Shortly after they were married on March 14, 1952. Mary had various careers beginning with becoming a substitute elementary teacher in Idaho, and later she and her friend started their own kindergarten school for two years. Mary was a devoted wife, loving mother, supportive grandmother, fun-loving great-grandmother and a confidant as a sister. She will be truly missed by her family and friends. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 47 years, Jerome Neumann; and her two brothers, James and Willis Palmer. Mary leaves to cherish her memory her five daughters, Peggy Zeljeznjak (John), Carol Gass (Shaun), Linda Davis, Ann Klontz (Abram), and Shelby Farnham (Joshua); 16 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members. A Celebration of Life will be forthcoming.
