Mary Kay Powers (née Qualter) was born on July 11, 1947 in Chicago, Illinois and died on August 11, 2022 in Henderson, Nevada. She was preceded in death by her husband Ron Powers and her parents John Qualter and Mary (Herndon) Qualter of Chicago, Illinois. She will be remembered fondly by her surviving cousins: Jerry (Linnea) Qualter of Summerfield, Fl, Raymond (Marilynn) Morrisroe of Orland Park, Il, Rita Qualter of Summerfield, Fl and Margie (Steve) Brown of Mt. Juliet, TN. Also, her dear friends mourn Mary Kay’s passing: Nancy Czyzewicz, Michelle Corona of Las Vegas, NV, and loving Godchildren Kellie and Adam Corona of Las Vegas, NV.
Mary Kay was a valued member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Henderson, Nevada. Arrangements are being handled by Palm Eastern Memorial and Cemetery. Services are pending. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the American Diabetes Association or the American Lung Association.
