Mary Louise Coon

Mary was a long-time resident of Las Vegas having moved here in 1963, where she raised her five children. She would eventually open her home to special needs foster children. She was a long-time member of both the North Las Vegas and Las Vegas Emblem Club holding several state offices. She was a very active member of Toastmasters. In her later years she would teach reading to children through the Catholic Charities Grandparent Program which brought her great joy.

Mary is survived by her children Karen Baker, Katherine Steckler, David Coon, Laura Barrett and Joseph Coon. Her granddaughters Morgan Steckler Middlemiss (Ryan), Bailey Steckler, and Sara Ann Baker. Her great-grandchildren Jonathan, Ethan and Lillian.

Mary is preceded in death by her brother David Pudvan and her sister Donna Pudvan.

A Celebration of Life and inurnment will be a private family service.
