Mary Jane Bernard

Mary Jane Bernard, 82, passed away on September 1, 2023. She was born in Washington DC to Julius and Hazel Johnson, both preceding her in death. Mary was a sister to her beloved brother, John Johnson (Beverly) of Kingsport, Tennessee, and to Betty Lou, who preceded her in death.

Mary was a loving mother survived by two daughters and one son, Melissa Dewey (Donald) and Cheryl Daniels (Mark) of Las Vegas, Nevada and Scott Bernard (Connie) of Franklin, Georgia. She was a devoted grandmother to four grandchildren, Rachel Gordon (John), Ryan Daniels (Sarah), and Jedidiah Owens of Las Vegas Nevada and Rebekah Rogers (Daniel) of Ardmore, Oklahoma. Mary was very close to and dearly loved her caretaker, Norma Wimberly-Phillips. She was a loving sister-in-law and aunt to several nieces and nephews and great-grandmother to 4 great grandchildren. Creative, smart, loving, honest, and loyal, she will be missed by many.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2 pm, Sunday, 24 September 2023, at Lamb Blvd Missionary Baptist Church, located at 500 N Lamb Blvd, Las Vegas, Nevada 89110. A light luncheon will follow, please bring a potluck side dish to share.
