Marianne Joyce Downing made her transition to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on August 27th with her Life Partner and friends at her side. She was 75 years old. She was born on February 23, 1945 to Russell William and Edna Celia Downing in Pine City, Minnesota.
She received a Degree in Education at Hamline University, Minnesota and later went on to receive a Master’s of Science degree in Marriage, Family and Child Counseling at the University of La Verne in California where she worked several years in Child Protective Services. She loved music, especially R&B and was an awesome piano player.
She loved to travel, especially to Hawaii where she learned to wind surf. She is survived by her Life Partner of 51 years, her brother and sister-in- law, several in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends who love her.
