Lourdes Reyes Caeg

Lourdes Reyes Caeg, age 79, of Henderson, Nevada, peacefully passed away, surrounded by her family, on Friday, July 21, 2023. Lourdes was born in Manila, Philippines on April 27, 1944 to Florentino and Gertrudes Reyes.

She married Maynardo "Mike" Santos Caeg on January 4, 1969. They were married for over 54 years.

After graduating from MAPA High School in the Philippines, she graduated from Philippine Normal University, and received a Master of Arts in Education/Administration & Supervision from the University of Phoenix.

Lourdes taught for 45 years and specialized in ESL for elementary schools in the Philippines, California, Texas, and finally Clark County School District in Las Vegas, Nevada. In 2011, she retired as the ELL Facilitator/Specialist.

Lourdes was very involved with Saint Viator Catholic Church. She was a Council Board Member, Eucharistic Minister, the Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Juniors Catholic Daughters of the Americas, and the Women's Guild. Lourdes was also a member of the Red Hat Society.

Lourdes is survived by her husband Maynardo of Henderson, NV; children Anna Caeg of TN, Michael Caeg of TX, and Melissa Caeg Dunbar of Las Vegas, NV; grandchildren Jordan, Logan (Kasey), Matthew, Maggie, and MJ; great grandson Malakai; sister Norma Bautista of CA; loving pug Potato; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Lourdes was preceded in death by her parents and siblings.

A visitation for Lourdes will be held Thursday, August 3, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Palm Eastern Mortuary, 7600 S Eastern Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89123. A funeral mass will occur Friday, August 4, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Saint Viator Catholic Church, 2461 East Flamingo Road, Las Vegas, NV 89121.

A committal service will occur Friday, August 4, 2023 from 1:20 PM to 2:00 PM at Southern Nevada Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veteran's Memorial Drive, Boulder City, NV 89005.
