Louis "Larry" Berner

Larry married Sydney Lenore on March 28, 1954 in New York. She passed away on April 16, 1994. He graduated from Columbia University, and was a retired pharmacist. Larry served the United States Army during the Korean War. Larry and Sydney moved to Las Vegas in 1993. He sang and did set design for the Sun City Silvertones for over twenty years. He was also an avid woodworker, throughout his life. Larry made wood items for many family members and friends. He was proud to have lived independently, until very recently.

Larry is survived by his children Lorri (Joseph) Murphy, and Mark (Janalee) Berner; grandchildren Gregg (Natalie), Tiffany (Justin), David (Megan) , Eric, Michael (Melissa), and Jackie (Michael); great-grandchildren Mikaela, Rylan, Chloe, Harlowe, Jax, and Joshua; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, spouse, and two siblings Bernard Berner and Gertrude Berner.

A gathering of family and friends for Larry will be held Sunday, April 28, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at King David Memorial Chapel & Cemetery, 2697 E Eldorado Ln, Las Vegas, NV 89120. A funeral will occur Sunday, April 28, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 2697 E Eldorado Ln, Las Vegas, NV 89120. A committal service will occur Sunday, April 28, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Palm Valley View Cemetery 7600 S. Eastern Avenue Las Vegas, NV 89123.
