Lorna Marie Braun

Lorna Marie Braun, 63, of Las Vegas, Nevada, passed away on November 17, 2013, after a short illness. Lorna was born in Blue Earth, Minnesota on January 15, 1950 to Lydia Nase Haase and Elbert Haase of rural Blue Earth, Minnesota, the 5th of 7 children. Lorna attended Concordia College, St Paul Minnesota and received a bachelor’s degree in Education and History. She also received an Associate degree in Accounting in 1983 from Lakeshore Community College near Sheboygan, Wisconsin. On July 7, 1973, Lorna was married to Neil L Braun in Blue Earth, Minnesota. They made their home in Reedsburg, Wisconsin, the Grooms home town for a year, and then they moved to Oshkosh Wisconsin where Neil completed his education in Accounting at UW-Oshkosh. In 1979, the couple moved to Sheboygan Wisconsin, where Lorna was Village Clerk/Treasurer in Howards Grove, Wisconsin, near Sheboygan. Her husband, Neil, worked in banking in Sheboygan Wisconsin. In 1989, the couple moved to Las Vegas, Nevada where Lorna worked in Banking until her retirement in 2004. The couple has no children. Lorna is survived by her husband, of 40 years, Neil L. Braun. Lorna is preceded in death by her parents and three sisters. Services will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, November 26, at Community Lutheran Church, 3720 E Tropicana Avenue, Las Vegas, NV. The remains will be cremated and will be interred in rural Blue Earth, Minnesota.
