Lessie Pearl Johnson

Lessie was raised in Bastrop, Louisiana where she attended elementary and graduated from Morehouse High School. She later met the love of her life and husband Jessie "Mac" Johnson Sr. The couple moved to St. Louis, MO where they raised their four children: Cassandra Elosie Terry, Russell "Wayne" Day, Carla Day, and Jessie Johnson Jr. The family relocated to San Bernardino, CA in 1981 where Lessie lived for 1twelve years. Lessie moved to Las Vegas, NV in 1993.

Lessie was preceded in death by her parents, Damon and Coltile Day; husband, Jessie "Mac" Johnson Sr; two sisters, Okreter (Rita) Day Fennell, Mildred Day; one daughter, Cassandra Eloise Terry; one uncle, Russell Hutchinson; one aunt, Robbie Hutchinson; one nephew, Damon Battle; two brothers-in-law, Willie Theodore Fennell and Legare Hairston.

Lessie is survived by her children, Russell "Wayne" Day (Danette) of San Bernardino, CA; Carla Day of Las Vegas, NV; and Jessie Johnson Jr (Brenda) of Sacramento, CA. eight siblings, Ruby Hairston of Flint, MI; Cleon Day (Pearl) and Hyder Day of Chicago, IL; Damon Day, Jr of Las Vegas, NV; Berna Day of San Pedro, CA; Blanchard and Lewis Day of Bastrop, LA; and Robert Day of Riverside, CA. fourteen Grandchildren, Latashia Salas, Leslie Hamm, Jackqulyn Newman, Valencia Terry, Tiffany Holly, Jessica Johnson, Christian McMillian, Tysharra Knox, Leslie Metts, Shericka McLaughlin, Latoya Moore, Rochelle Day, Crystal Day, Dominique Day, and thirty great-grandchildren. Lessie also leaves to cherish her memories many nephews, nieces, and friends.
