Richard (Dick) Springer, 85, of Sun City Summerlin, passed away on November 16th, 2017, and is survived by his wife, Shirley, Richard was born on July 28th, 1932, in Kearney, Nebraska to Roy R. Springer and Johanna Paitz. He has a brother, Harold (Hal) Springer and sister-in-law, Joan, from Concord, California, a son, Regan and his wife, Lisa, in Eagle Rock, California and their two children, Cory and Jacquie. Dick had three step-sons by a previous marriage and has remained a loving step-father, step grand-father and step-great grandfather to all of them. Richard enlisted in the Marine Corps when he graduated from high school in Washington State during the Korean conflict. He served at Camp Pendleton as an Instructor to the Camp Pendleton Rifle Team until 1954. He moved to Los Angeles and worked for JPL, Northrup-Grumann and retired from TRW in 1992. He had a masters degree in Space Science Engineering from Occidental College. He moved to Nevada the same year and has lived in Sun City since 2001. He is a past president of the Quail Ridge HOA and was a good man to have around. He could fix anything!
