Lana Larsen

Lana Larsen was born in Preston, Idaho on March 1, 1949 to Verdell and Leone Smith. She grew up in Franklin, Idaho. Lana had three older sisters, Pat, Julie and Linda and one younger sister Nedra. She attended high school in Preston.

Lana married her high school sweetheart Jay Larsen on August 22, 1968 in the Idaho Falls Temple. They lived in Logan, Utah. Lana worked to put Jay through college. Following Jay’s graduation, a job took them to Las Vegas, Nevada. Lana and Jay have two children, Jennifer (Jeffrey) Lundgren of Queen Creek, Arizona, and Christopher Jay (Valerie) Larsen of Las Vegas, Nevada. They have five grandchildren, Madison Lundgren, Jacob Lundgren, Malorie Lundgren, Audrey Larsen and Lindsey Larsen.

Lana loved her children and grandchildren and they all adored their Nana. She made Halloween costumes for all. She enjoyed being at all their activities. She loved going to the beach with her family and traveling with Jay. She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served two Senior Missions with her husband in South Carolina and New York. She loved serving at the temple and served as an Assistant to the Matron.

Lana passed away at home on October 26 following a long battle with cancer.

A visitation for Lana will be held Saturday, November 2, 2024 at 9:30am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 8755 Iron Mountain Rd, Las Vegas, NV 89143, followed by a funeral service at 11:00am.
