Kurt Clyde Louis Mertz, a long time resident of Las Vegas and Henderson, Nevada passed away 11pm, April 6, 2016 at St. Rose De Lima Hospital in Henderson, Nevada.
He was born in St. Louis, Missouri on January 26, 1938. His parents were Norman R. Mertz and Mildred L Mertz.
He graduated high school in 1957 and enlisted in the Marines in 1958. He had a career in truck driving in 1970 to 1995. He retired after having a heart attack while driving a truck. He had other health issues that had ended his career is a truck driver. He was a very caring and loving father, grandfather and great grandfather.
He is survived by his sister Mildred (Sis), his brother Robert (Bob) and his brother Stanley. Also survived by his daughter Goldie and his son Garrett. His grandkids are Pamela, Mark, Kurtis, Amanda and Guy. His great-grandkids are Tyler, Even, Serenity, Kasey, Shyann, Ryver, Addisen and Kaleb.
