James was the oldest child of eight. He was raised in Southern California. James was a Vietnam Veteran, then graduated from Kirkville College of Osteopathic Medicine in MO. He had two medical practices, one in Alpine, CA and one in Ramona, CA. He volunteered at Ramona pregnancy Care too.
James is survived by his wife of 52 years, Robin Ricketts; daughters, Dana Jansen, Stephanie Young, Tracy Ricketts & Sidney Ricketts; four grandchildren and two sons in law; two brothers, Dr. Randy Ricketts and Greg Rickets; his sister, Debbie Heaven.
James retired in Sun City Summerlin, Las Vegas. He had a wonderful life and his love of God, family and his patience were everything to him. May he rest in God's love.
Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, November 5, 2024 at 10 am, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 1811 Pueblo Vista Dr, Las Vegas, NV 89128.
Inurnment will be on Wednesday, November 6, 2024 at 12:30 pm at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veterans Memorial De, Boulder City, NV 89005.
