Herman Jerome Carter

WO HERMAN CARTER U.S. Navy, Retired Herman Jerome Carter, 83, of Las Vegas, passed away Feb. 20, 2013. He was born July 3, 1929, in Washington, D.C., and was a resident of Las Vegas since 1982. He loved to cook and retired from the Flamingo Hilton as a chef in 2003. He also enjoyed golfing and reading. He is survived by his wife, of 30 years, BJ; daughters, Sandra (Mike) and Jackie; sons, Michael (Deborah), Kenneth (Inger) and Paul; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 9, at Champion of Hope, 3900 E. Bonanza Road. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Las Vegas Rescue Mission.
