Our sweet beloved Dru left us on December 29, 2020 with her loving soulmate and twin daughters by her side. She was a warrior and fought a long courageous battle against 3 cancers and diabetes. Born in Amarillo TX, she lived in Shelton WA before moving to Henderson NV and then on to North Las Vegas to continue the rest of her story. NV. She graduated from Basic High in Henderson NV and continued her education taking courses in photography at the community college. Dru worked many jobs of interest including owning an auto customizing business (B&B Glamour Tires) with her dad until finding her true calling at UMC hospital. She worked in Sterile Processing, the Business Office, Day Surgery and was a tremendous patient advocate for 22 years. After 22 years working for UMC, she retired to become a stay-at-home mom for her two wonderful twin daughters. She loved photography, traveling, music, playing the guitar and playing the mandolin. She also enjoyed hiking, fishing, and exploring the desert. Dru had a quick, sarcastic, wit and a feisty spirit. She was very direct and honest. She made herself known and appeared larger than she was. She was caring, kind, loyal, and small yet mighty. She left a lasting impression on those she touched. Her beautiful, strong-willed spirit and charisma will forever live in the hearts of those she knew. She was preceded in death by her mother Betty Lou Stephens, her father Robert Stephens, brothers Eddie Stephens and Toby Stephens. She will be remembered by her partner, Cheryl Harris of N. Las Vegas, NV, her annoying twin daughters, Hannah and Madeline Harris of N. Las Vegas,NV, her bossy, big sister Vanetta Plumlee of Yantis,TX, her irritatingly perfectionist brother Mike Stephensof Texas and NV, and her baby brother Brad Stephensof New Mexico. The celebration of Dru’s life will be held in the spring of 2021.
