Harold Irwin Israel, of Sun City Anthem, educator and realtor, passed away on Wednesday, December 24, 2014 after bravely battling pancreatic cancer for 2½ years. He was born on April 8, 1933 in Winnipeg, Canada. He moved to Los Angeles in 1956 and retired to Nevada in 2003. Harold was predeceased by his parents, Morris and Dora Israel and his brother, Manly. He is survived by Annette, his beloved wife of 59 years; three children, Ron (Sara) Israel of Bastrop, LA, Marty (Cynthia) Israel of Los Angeles, CA, and Sharon (Amir) Rashidi of Newton, NC; and six grandchildren, Kevin, Alisha, Mischon, Marissa, Paul, and Keion. He was a wonderful husband and devoted father who worked very hard throughout his life to provide for his family. We miss him dearly and he will remain forever in our hearts! Services will be held at 2:00pm, Sunday, December 28, 2014 at King David Memorial Chapel. Family requests that memorial donations be made to the Rabbi’s Discretionary Fund of Congregation Ner Tamid. King David Memorial Chapel handled the arrangements.
