Gregory Franklin Diedrich was born July 1, 1955 in Miami. Our Lord called Gregory home Jan. 26, 2012. Greg settled in Las Vegas in 1988, where he started Diedrich Construction, specializing in kitchen and bath remodeling. He was a devoted husband, father, and stepfather, although "step" was never in his vocabulary. Greg was an accomplished private pilot, enjoyed playing golf and was an avid outdoors man who loved camping, fishing, hiking and exploring nature. Greg is survived by his wife, Esther; children, Alida Diedrich, Arielle Diedrich, Julie Long, Eric Christiernsson, Amanda (Thomas) Lovelady; and grandson, Michael Long, all of Las Vegas; his parents, Bernard J. and Marjorie H. Diedrich of Sarasota, Fla.; brothers, Bernard G. (Karen) Diedrich of Michigan, Robert (Linda) Diedrich of Oregon, and John (Cindy) Harland of Florida; sisters, Susan (John) Cradock of Massachusetts, Lisa (Jim) Braden of New York, Mary (Scott) MacDonald of New Hampshire, and Katie (Bruce) Rivard of Florida; and many loving nephews and nieces. Services will be at 3 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 4, at Palm Mortuary, 6701 N. Jones.
