Gloria Sizemore Stewart was born in Easley, S.C. Early in life, she moved and lived with her family in Chicago. After her marriage to Carle Stewart in 1947, the couple moved to Los Angeles, where they had loving and successful life. After more than 25 years of service, Gloria retired from the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power. For the last 28 years, Gloria has lived in Las Vegas, where she remained socially active. Gloria passed away Feb. 13, 2013 and will be dearly missed by her friends and family. Gloria is survived by her husband, of 65 years, Carle Stewart; nephew, Philip (Kim) Stewart, and their children, Stephen and Christy; niece, Clare Matthews; great-niece, Linda (David) Matuzak, her sons, Stephen and Samuel, and her grandsons, Joseph and Michael; along with a host of loving family members and friends. Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 18, with services following, both at Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Burial following at Palm Memorial Park-Northwest, 6701 N. Jones Blvd.
