Fred attended New Home Baptist Church in Magnolia, Mississippi during his childhood and adolescent years.
While attending Pike County Agricultural High School, Fred was very active in sports. He excelled in basketball and was dubbed “The Hawk”; a name that still rings around Pike County Mississippi to this day. Fred received a few MVP awards and numerous trophies in basketball, football and baseball during his high school years.
Fred moved to California in 1958 and later relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada. Fred has always had a flare of salesmanship, and his personality was warm and he always aimed to please. He started his career in Sales at Sears, and it was no surprise to know that he enjoyed his job and advanced rapidly. However, he did not stop there! He founded and operated Quality Coffee Company. The business started in his garage and quickly expanded to a new complex in Carson, California. Fred successfully operated the business for 10 years. After retiring, Fred continued working as a Realtor in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Fred was preceded in death by his father, Fred Everett; mother, Ethel Everett and two sisters; Myrtis Rhone and Marie Banks.
Fred is survived by his wife of 22 years Lucille Everett; 5 sons; Derek, Eric, Mario, Todd and Marcus Everett; stepdaughter Adrian Taylor; stepsons Donnie and Dorian Knauls; 10 grandchildren, Mario II, Todd, II., Deron, Derek, Derecka, Rashaan, Aleaya, Jocelyn, Maquis and Melanie, a great grandchild, Todd III; 4 brothers, James, Ellis (Betty), Alcus (Glenda) and Robert Everett (Margie); 3 sisters, Jackie Nalley, Ruth Martin (Gabriel) and Nellie Everett and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Fred loved to travel and he and Lucille enjoyed many adventures together. He was an avid golfer and he swung a pretty mean tennis racket. Fred was a loving husband; a devoted father to his children and grandchildren always taking the to time to offer words of wisdom. He will be truly be missed by his family and friends.
